Maia was eager to begin her apprenticeship soon as she could. She started full time in 2020 amid the Covid lockdowns. Although a bumpy start, she was always destined to become a tattooist, having grown up in a tattoo studio, coming to work with her dad Squirrel, on weekends and after school. 

From the time she could walk, Maia showed a creative flair, that consumed all of her spare time, opting to draw and create whenever she could. Leaving school to follow in her fathers and now mentors footsteps in the art of tattooing, she hasn’t looked back and has fallen in love with the industry. Designing, admiring, applying and getting her own tattoos, at every opportunity.
